Broadway
in the Park 2011 - A Smashing Hit
Our annual summer production featured "Hairspray" and our original offering, "Rapunzel's Twist." Though difficult to count, we easily had over 2,000 people in the crowd on Friday night and well over 3,000 for the Saturday performance.
Thank you to all who supported us and came out to watch! Please check back for more details and photographs.
Congratulations SAA!

Helping Haiti
On
Saturday, March 7, 2010 you could hear the drums down Main Street as members
of Suwanee Ballet shared the stage with the Resurrection Dance Theater of
Haiti. What an experience! We have all heard the horrific stories
about the earthquake in Haiti. We may even want to contribute yet it feels
so far away. By getting to know people, who have lived through this tragedy
it helps make the world that much smaller. For those in attendance our new
found friends will not be soon forgotten.
The Resurrection Dance Theater of Haiti is made up of young men who were once homeless or held as slaves. Through the St. Joseph's Home for Boys, these young men's lives were changed by giving them a loving home and family. Through the arts these boys experienced human hands coming together to praise and applaud them instead of to beat them down. Now they raise us up through their art! Giving back the many blessing they have received.
The Resurrection Dance Theatre of Haiti blessed us all by their presence this past weekend. They are touring the U.S. and are very grateful for the gifts to support the rebuilding of the destroyed buildings and dreams. If you would like to make a gift to this effort you can donate online at htflive.org. Thank you for your generosity!
